Happy New Year to all of my family, friends and my PR and ravelry.com family. At the close of 2008, I was truly inspired by all of your reviews. I learned that inspiration can come from anyone and/or anything. Creating apparel for myself is very uplifting because I know once that garment is finished, I know it will fit me.
So with that said, here are my 2009 goals for creating apparel - reflecting my style!
1. Additions to My Wardrobe - take inventory and proceed with all the necessary basics.
2. Education/Knowledge Base - continue to improve on the basics, take a few update courses.
3. Stash - sew and crochet what little stash I have then prepare for more.
4. Contests - start the stash contest on Jan. 1, 2009 - SEW LIKE THE WIND!!
5. Expos - the Atlanta Sewing Expo will be held in Gwinnett County again. Try to attend!
6. Equipment - continue to add all necessary equipment for future learning.
7. Trips - Gail K. Fabrics, Inc. first since they are close by; then Mary Jo's in Gastonia, NC.
8. Projects - dig out all of the unfinished projects (sewing and crochet) and get them completed.
9. Large Projects - The Bed - the goal is to have the squares done by August.
10. Evaluation - I would like my family and friends to do that for me. Criticize me, I'm ready!!!
Have a prosperous and safe New Year!!!

USA Today Hosts Designers to Dress Mrs. O
Hello, everyone. There's nothing better than getting the news first hand which is why I love where I am working right now. Here's the skinny. Imagine my face when I saw the front page sub-headlines on today's issue of USA Today.
USA Today asked 8 juniors and seniors from Marymount University to sketch outfits for Mrs. O and her daughters. Twenty-six designs were created and three categories are listed on pages 4D-5D. They are "Ceremony Chic", "Belle of the Balls", and "Sibling Revelry". Tim Gunn of Project Runway and a Washington, D.C. native picked his favorites (with first, second and third place for each category) and offered each student his take on their designs.
If you do not have access to a printed copy of USA Today, go to: life.usatoday.com.
Enjoy!!

What I Got For Christmas!
Good afternoon, All. The most I got for Christmas was a lot of love. I went to see my mother since I had not had the chance or extra funds for travel this year. I spent the entire day with her and my siblings sitting around laughing and joking. I don't look for much except that, since this is the most important to me.
I hope my family and PR and ravelry.com had a wonderful time on Christmas and I look forward to sewing and crocheting with you all in 2009.
Happy New Year!!!!

The New "Z"
OK. I have been out of the loop for some time. Not because I have been ignoring you but, I had a glitch. Could not get into my blog to add new stuff.
Since I have been away, I have had a lot of time to think about "Z". Let's see what she thought:
1. The employment market is just off the chain.
2. I need to be employed or my sewing and crocheting must kick it up a notch.
3. Since I have all the necessary equipment, sewing and crocheting are my best ticket.
4. How do I start?
5. My daughter and my play daughter have devised a sure fire plan.
6. Plan - SEWING and they have added to my idea to start afresh for the new year.
So, I will supplement my income by sewing. This gives me the means to stay at home, leave when I want, wake up when I want, go to bed when I want, and anything else that I want. Please stay tuned to see this wonderful plan my daughters and I have devised!!!
Chique aZ Me is hereby launched. More to come.
